It’s for professional event planners who plan and execute complex events with multiple Crew they need to manage in the form of staff, volunteers, suppliers and third party service providers like St John Ambulance, Red Cross, Salvos etc.
Most of our clients run their events on an annual basis, and use 1pm throughout the full lifecyle of event planning and (day of) execution.
-
In 1pm you add every person participating in an official capacity at the event as 'Crew'.
That way, everyone involved in the event is on the same page during the event, and communication is fostered between all parties.
Examples of Crew members might include your own paid event staff, sub contractors, suppliers and third party service providers such as Headspace, St John, Salvos, Lifeline, Rosies (QLD) etc.
-
Planning a complex event requires coordination and communication between all crew members.
By using 1pm during the planning phase you can solicit feedback from all stakeholders when creating the Agenda, Schedule or Runsheet.
Once the Schedule is locked in, 1pm allows you to share the runsheet with all crew members in real-time.
Finally, during the event 1pm provides the communication tools in the form of live crew chat, SMS alerts and documents to facilitate communication and collaboration.
This can free up the radio waves for true emergencies or super time critical incidents and allow the event managers to control and triage incidents from one central location.

Not at all, there is nothing for Crew members to install or sign up for.
1pm is built on the latest Microsoft platform known as Blazor Server, hosted in the Azure cloud with the database and application servers hosted in Sydney, Australia on Azure SQL (SQL Server).
It will work on any device with a browser, and is totally mobile responsive on all modern smartphones.
It's been tested on a wide range of devices and will work great on just about every device (except maybe a smart watch!).
There are no apps to download or install, it runs in the browser from a URL although we recommend you use the 'Install as App' feature found in Chrome and other browsers to pin the application URL to your mobile phone home screen.
As Blazor Server is known as a 'Single Page Application' technology (SPA) it updates in real-time in a reactive way, making it look and feel like a mobile app, but without the need to install or update it.
When Crew members receive an urgent message via SMS, they simply click the URL to view the incident and respond in real-time.

The application is hosted in Sydney, Australia and is available to event planners holding events anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
The reasons for this are two fold. The application is based on real-time event signalling similar to a chat based application such as Slack. This requires a round-trip of communication between the server and client, so the application works best in low latency situations.
In 2025 we will launch a US and EU server to enable customers in most english speaking countries to use 1pm.
If you wish to use 1pm outside Australasia, please register your interest here.
