View Attached Files Added to a Runsheet PDF as a Portfolio

Windows / macOS / ioS / Android / Chrome / Edge / Firefox

Attached images and PDF documents can be bundled together into the printed PDF runsheet as attachments (aka PDF Portfolios).

This also works for digitally signed PDF documents (such as flight or hotel booking confirmations).

When attaching files to the printed runsheet within 1pm, there are some important things to know depending on what platform, and which default browser or PDF viewer you are using.

Not all browsers support the Adobe Portfolio feature that contains attachments into one single PDF.

If your browser does not support PDF Portfolios the runsheet will still be viewable but there may not be the attachment icon available to view the individual attachments.

Windows, macOS Google Chrome Browser Flag Modification

Supports viewing attachments linked to a printed 1pm Runsheet by activating the Google Chrome flag 'PDF Portfolio'.

If you are not familiar with how Google Chrome flags work, this article may help:

As the screenshot above suggests, you can use Google Chrome as your browser within Mac, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS.

Once you have enabled this flag once, you will be able to view the attachments (or once Google enables this feature for all users).

Please note that the Google Chrome Browser on mobile devices does not support viewing PDF attachments, so you might consider other options below:

Windows, macOS via Free Adobe Acrobat Reader Download

Supports viewing attachments linked to a printed 1pm Runsheet on Windows or macOS versions from 10.14 Mojave and later, including macOS Big Sur, Monterey, and Ventura.

Windows, macOS Firefox Browser Native Support

Firefox supports viewing PDF attachments natively in Windows and macOS. No further software or applications are required to be installed.

Android: Smartphones, tablets via Adobe Acrobat App

Supports viewing attachments linked to a printed 1pm Runsheet by installing the 'Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF' application.

iOS: iPhones and iPads via Adobe Acrobat App

Supports viewing attachments linked to a printed 1pm Runsheet by installing the 'Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF' application.

Microsoft Edge Browser

Does not currently support viewing attachments. Installing the Adobe Acrobat Edge Browser extension also does not help.

Unfortunately, as of now, there isn't a Microsoft Edge browser extension specifically designed to view attachments within an Adobe PDF Portfolio directly in the browser.

For the best experience, it's recommended to use Adobe Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat on your desktop to open and interact with PDF Portfolios.
